CRADLE organized the WDARF Grant Call Sharing Session in partnership with the Institute of Adult Learning (IAL) and NTU Research Support Office on 17th April, 2019. The session was held at The Arc, NTU, and we were delighted to have Ms Sim Soo Kheng, Director of the Research & Innovation Division, IAL, share with our audience the WDARF grant call nature of research focus and funding mechanism. To answer some of the difficult questions we face today at work and in learning, Associate Professor Younbo Jung from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), winner of the inaugural WDARF grant call, shared tips on how to write winning research proposals. This was followed by a short sharing by Dr Teo Chew Lee, Senior Research Scientist from the Office of Education Research (OER), NIE, who spoke about the intricacies of research on the knowledge creation of adult learners at the workplace. Professor Looi Chee Kit, Acting Co-Director of CRADLE, inspired the audience to embark on adult learning research with his sharing on IAL-CRADLE research collaborations. This event was well-attended by academics, researchers, and grant management professionals, who all had a fruitful time networking after the session.
