Event Description
CRADLE Connects: Future Economy and Workforce Learning was held on 6th November 2020. Jointly organised by CRADLE, CoHass and NIE, the event aimed to initiate an interdisciplinary research agenda led by NTU academics focusing on contributing to the understanding of workplace and adult learning. Featuring thought leadership across academics and organisations, we were delighted to have Dr Gog Soon Joo, Chief Futurist SkillsFuture Singapore, Dr Kee Jack Sheng, Director, Delta Research Centre, Professor Boh Wai Fong, Nanyang Business School and Assistant Professor Andrew Prahl from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information to share their insights ranging from building capacity of the skills ecosystems, technologies for professional learning, identification of opportunities for entrepreneurial education to skills for surviving automation.
Led by CRADLE co-director Prof Trevor Yu, audience and speakers were then brought together for a panel session exploring grand challenges facing research on future economy and workforce learning. Overall, this event brought together hearts and minds in the spirit of scientific pursuit and innovation for understanding lifelong and adult learning in our modern workplace. Do continue to watch this space for more updates on this topic.
