Biographical Profile
Alwyn is a Research Associate in CRADLE@NTU where he is involved in education technology projects associated with knowledge creation and improvable ideas generated through online discourse.
He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) with honours and Master of Science in Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2010 and 2013, respectively. He is currently a PhD student conducting research in the field of Learning Sciences and Technology at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
Before joining CRADLE@NTU, Alwyn was a Senior Research Engineer at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), A*STAR, where he led projects in cross-disciplinary R&D that helped elevate and promote novel technologies to industries for commercialization and licensing.
Research interests in Science of Learning and Education
Learning analytics and technology to analyse collective responsibility within students for idea improvement, creation and maintenance of creative work using Knowledge Building theory, data mining techniques, discourse analytics within online discussion platforms
