In response to the start of the 4th grant call for the Ministry of Education (MOE) Tertiary Education Research Fund, NTU's Centre for Research and Development in Learning (CRADLE), Teaching, Learning, and Pedagogical Division (TLPD), as well as Research Support Office (RSO), came together to organise a sharing session where experts and veterans of the TRF grant application process shared their knowledge and experience. The session started with our RSO colleague, Dr Au Yong's talk on what the MOE TRF Grant was, and was followed by veteran grant applicant, 2016 MOE TRF grant awardee, SCSE Asst Prof Chattopadhyay's sharing of his experience. The session concluded with CRADLE's Acting Co-Director, Assoc Prof Tan's sharing on the grant assessment criteria, and helpful grant writing tips with Dr Looker, Head of TLPD. Fellow NTU colleagues who were looking to submit their grant applications, or were interested in knowing more about the MOE TRF and were in the midst of preparing for a proposal, walked away from the session with clear ideas of the grant criteria, how their proposal ought to be structured, and helpful tips on grant application writing.
